Neither patience nor fortitude has ever been my forte – and even less so during the last few months. That’s why I was especially struck this morning by the tranquility of the aptly named lions that grace the entrance to the New York City Public Library at 42nd and Fifth. (That's Patience up there on the left and Fortitude down below on the right.)This Shabbat, may some of their serenity and repose descend upon those of us who need it most.
